When you first look at him, you may not realize that you are looking at an elf, let alone anything besides the forest you would most likely find him in. Vines and other plants grow thickly around him, giving the appearance that they clothe him. The vines make his torso appear broader than it is, which along with his height allows him to appear intimidating to those who he wishes to intimidate. His eyes almost glow in the electrical intensity they possess. His skin is fairer than most elves, giving it a look of snow glistening in the sun, and his white hair looks as if it reflects all light that falls upon it. His arms and legs show ghostly shadows of the strength they hide.
Personality
He possesses a keen intellect that can be seen in his eyes. He prefers solitude, but loves to prove his skills with sword and bow, which forces him to return to Ellesméra. While he considers himself a citizen there, he actually lives in Du Weldenvarden. He almost never says or does anything that he hasn’t already planned for, and tends to give off an aura of calmness.
Relations
He knows little of his parents since they both were killed when he was an infant while defending a group of humans on traveling to Surda for protection during the war. After he died he was taken care of by the other elves until he chose to live in the forest.
History
Most of his life is known only to him, but his known accomplishments include his strength and grace with the sword and bow. He is also known for his magic, especially with metals and plants. Of the greater known pieces of work are the living vine that he has with him constantly, his double-bladed glaive with a tree etched in the blade that changes with the seasons and his metal fern that continues to grow and thrive as if it were a plant. Due to the odd nature of his magic, many of the other elves have expressed great interest in him for when he is to attend the egg ceremonies.

He wields his double-bladed glaive with great skill. He also has a bow sung from a red cedar, birch and yew tree. The cedar gave his bow a rich red glow, the birch gave it a smooth look and the yew gave it strength. His arrows all have a birch patter, but in a deep red hue, and leaves are used in place of feathers. He also has a sword that has a green diamond on its hilt.
Magic
Verrak has a natural aptitude for working with nature, especially with plants. As contradictory as it is, he also has great natural skill with metal. Though he hasn’t been trained and isn’t that skilled in magic, his natural ability has caused several odd and unprecedented things to happen around him.
Pets
A vine that has gained animal like attributes while he has been personally attending to for over fifty years. It is at least fifty feet long and is almost always weaving itself around Verrak.
Side
He heavily supports the Dragon Riders, and even though he dislikes the Varden due to their politics, he does support their goals.
Place of Birth and Current Residence
Verrak was born and lives in Ellesméra, but tends to spend more time in Du Weldenvarden when he isn't training in order to be with the forest.
Other
Though not publicly known, he does plan to attend the egg ceremonies.

His scales appear to be a rainbow of assorted colors until one realizes that they are really clear, but the curve of the scales give it a reflective attribute.

He looks blindingly bright in the day, and at night he appears almost as a void of darkness. If one is close enough they and see a reflection of themselves, and not just a random array of dispersed colors. He is larger than expected and isis wings are larger than one would expect, even for his size, and his body has an aerodynamic look to it.
Personality
Though he may talk frequently to Verrak, he rarely talks to anyone else. His mind is constantly turning which leads to introspective and playful thoughts and discussions. He is also very active, which seems contradictory when compared to the apparently quite nature of Verrak.
Relations
He is the son of Saphira and Olanis, and as far as he knows the second egg to hatch. He plans to meet Lenora in a month in hopes that his unusual growth allows him to not have to look to far up at her.
History
He was in one of the eggs given to the Elves for safe keeping until he would hatch for a Rider. When he hatched, most where not surprised, but many concerned of how Verrak’s influence may affect what happens to them. Despite these concerns both Kamahl and Verrak plan to help the Varden, no matter what their personal convictions may be about them.
Weapons
Like most, if not all dragons, he plans only to use what he has been given by birth. He awaits the day he can breathe fire, and already uses his claws and teeth to hunt. He has already begun to try to fly, and for his age he is doing fairly well.

Dragon magic is uncertain and no one, not even the dragons themselves, understands how it works, but they do know that it works only with the dragon's rider.
Pets
Occasionally he vine Verrak always has with him will climb onto Kamahl, which it has begun to do more frequently and for longer periods of time, despite the dislike Kamahl has for it.

He supports the Dragon Riders and dislikes the empire, but values Verrak’s thought enough that if Verrak was ever to decide to join the empire Kamahl would follow willingly, though not happily.
